Steve McDowell
Port fairy SES

Steve McDowell has been a volunteer with the Port Fairy State Emergency Service for 16 Years and the Country Fire Authority for 27 years.
Steve played an integral part of the Black Saturday fires as Deputy Strike Team leader at Churchill and Yarra Ranges. Steve also volunteered in the Newcastle and Bairnsdale floods in 2006.

Anne Anderson
Nominated by Marg Byron
Anne's contribution to the Community as a CFA Volunteer and in her role as Chief Instructor at the Warrnambool Dog Training School involves many hours caring for the safety of both dogs and humans.
Anne Anderson is an accredited instructor with the Victorian Canine Association has been a recipient of 25 years of membership badge. She is also a 4th Lieutenant in the CFA having been involved with many strike teams in parts of Victoria and NSW over the past 12 years.

Andrew Squires

Andrew has been a dedicated volunteer for over 32 years, volunteering for St Johns Ambulance and the Australian Red Cross and at many other events. He is currently the Volunteer Patient Transport Convenor for Red Cross which he contributes over 20 hours a week to deliver this service. Andrews contribution of his professional and extended knowledge of health and first aid safety support at local and national community events has ensured people are always in safe hands when first aid has been required.

Gayle Payne

Gayle is a hard working volunteer who works with a number of different organisations. She has been involved with the ten bin bowling association, Fun 4 Kids, Lyndoch and the Moira Kelly Childrens First Foundation.
Gayle's nominator described her as a live wire where nothing is a trouble to her.
Robert Prout
Robert has been involved with the table tennis association for over 35 years as treasurer and coach, and as a player for almost 50 years.
Robert is also involved with cricket and is an elder at the church.
His nominator describes Robert as the back bone of the club who is always ready to assist or lead.

Nestles Rowing Club
Tom Bertrand has been involved in a voluntary capacity with the Nestles Rowing Club for over 40 years, and with the disabled rowers program since it begun in 2005. Tom's Volunteer work has attracted great attention throughout Australia, both with rowers with and without a disability.
